THE PHILLIPS
COLLECTION
The Phillips Collection is known as “America’s first museum of modern art.” It was founded in 1921 by Duncan Phillips and is located in Washington, D.C. The Phillips is an intimate museum featuring works by Renoir, Rothko, Bonnard, O’Keeffe, Van Gogh, and many more. I have been conducting interviews for The Phillips Collection Oral History Project since 2017.
